Sponsors

Big thanks to everyone who supported us and donated to Child’s Play, or helped us with prizes.  We couldn’t have been as successful without your help.  All of our sponsors are listed below!

Walls 360

  • We are extremely happy and excited to have Walls 360 on board for Mass Effect Marathon 3!  Walls 360 make amazing wall graphics that you can put up on your wall with no sticky glue, no mess, and you can reuse them and move them many times.  This can make a perfect addition to your game room, and they have tons of different licensed options.  When we asked them about donating some pieces to make our marathon area more Mass Effect, they didn’t hesitate to help us.  Be sure to check out their Official Website and get some cool images for your wall!

Think Geek

  • The fine people at ThinkGeek, especially Shane, have been wonderful to us for the past year.  They supported us greatly when we ran the first Mass Effect Marathon when we were an unproven commodity.  During the Slumber Party, they sent us a Tauntaun Sleeping Bag without asking any questions.  This year, they continue to support us by providing wonderful prizes that our viewers and fans will absolutely love.  We assume that you shop at the site from time to time, but if you don’t you really should.  Great, geeky items and a love for helping out charity.  I see nothing wrong with this!

Split Reason

  • Do you like geeky clothes that have pop culture and video game references on them?  Do you enjoy warm beanies that look like a Super Mario Goomba?  Of course you do, who wouldn’t?!  The great people at Split Reason have been so gracious as to help us out and provide us gift certificates to raffle winners so that they can buy whatever they want.  Donate to Child’s Play and feel great about yourself, and then buy some fantastic swag from the fine folks at Split Reason.  Win Win!

Ascension Props

  • For the last three years we have been trying to get a prop maker to donate high quality replicas of the Mass Effect weapons. It has been difficult because of the expense and time required to make such an item, but this year Matthew Walther of Ascension Props answered the call.  Matthew has been kind enough to offer up an Assault Rifle and a Shotgun for us to auction off. Both items are really high quality and will complete any sort of Cosplay that you are looking to do, or would make a nice piece to hang up on the wall. Or you could just walk around your house with them and pretend to be killing Reapers. That’s totally normal.  Be sure to check out Matthew’s Official Website, Etsy Store, Facebook Page and Twitter.

Punished PropsPunished Props

  • Bill Doran of Punished Props makes high quality replica props that can complete almost any Cosplay you are looking to do.  Bill can even create an entire set of armor for you if you wanted.  His work is impeccable and we are just so happy that Bill offered to help out Mass Effect Marathon by donating a high quality Carnifex Pistol. Bill’s commission schedule is open, so if you need something fantastical made, please be sure to check him out at his Official Website or Facebook Page.

Kotories Little Shop

  • See that adorable chibi Mordin plushie?  That is all thanks to the wonderful Jennifer over at Kotories Little Shop.  This Etsy store specializes in taking characters that you know and love, turning them into cute chibi’s, and delighting at your joyful emotions.  Jennifer was kind enough to donate a few of her creations for us to use as raffle prizes this year and we are exceedingly happy to have her on board.  Be sure to check out Jennifer’s Etsy Store and Deviant Art page so that you can see more of her work and hopefully commission something for yourself!

Geek OUTlet

  • Leah Nelson of Geek OUTlet found the marathon during MEM2 last year.  At some point in chat she stated that she really wish that she would be able to donate a set of N7 armor to the cause.  Fast forward nearly a year later and she has done exactly that.  You can easily win a live auction and get a full set of N7 armor completely made to your specifications by Leah!  How awesome is that?  In addition to making kick ass armor and other great cosplay costumes, Leah also makes really nerdy crafts on her Etsy Store.  So go support her and also be sure to follow her Facebook Page as well.

LicketyCut Laser Cut Acrylic Jewelry

  • Adam and April of LicketyCut make absolutely fantastic jewelry out of acrylic materials.  What does that mean for you?  It means that you are able to get really clean, unique looking jewelry that can set you apart from the crowd.  Show off your favorite geeky passions while also help support two wonderful artists.  Be sure to check out the official LicketyCut website, their Facebook Page, or order yourself something cool from their Etsy Store!

Geeky Cat UK

  • Hazel Smith makes unique geeky crafts.  One of her coolest creations are geek inspired pillow cases. For those of you who really love the Mass Effect series, and are often asking yourself what could really enhance the way you play, look no further than the Paragon and Renegade Pillow Cases!  It’s the perfect accessory for those of you who play Mass Effect on the couch.  Big thanks to Hazel who went out of her way to make help out our little event and believe in what we are doing for Child’s Play Charity.  Be sure to check out her Etsy Store, and keep up to date on her Facebook Page.

Eitanya Plushie Creations!

  • Perhaps you remember a little article that started up on Kotaku about someone making Garrus and Saren plushies.  Well Jo Roberts aka Eitanya was responsible for those fine creations and we have been privileged to be working for her for a few different charity events.  Last time around she made us a Solid Snake Kirby that was absolutely amazing and one of her best works yet.  For MEM2 she raised the stakes and allowed us to auction off a Garrus and Tali plushie that made everyone’s hearts all fuzzy.  What will she make this year?  You’ll just have to wait and see.  Please go check out her DeviantArt and Facebook pages and get something commissioned by her today!

Margit Buky

  • Margit Buky makes fantastic pieces of art out of canvas backing, spray paint, and stencils.  The resulting creations are really unique and are only offered up on a limited basis.  While Margit makes multiples of some of her paintings, none of them are exactly the same due to the time intensive process that she undergoes.  We have been lucky enough to have Margit’s help with this marathon and we really hope that you’ll go ahead and check out more of her amazing work.  Be sure to visit her Official Website, Etsy Store, and her eBay Store.

Damon Boreing of Nonsensical Nerdery

  • One of the first people I contacted for MEM3 was Damon Boreing who has absolutely fantastic poster prints.  His work on creating unique designs for the Mass Effect series was impressive.  His style allowed you to keep the same kind of theme and tone of what Mass Effect was all about, while at the same time giving Damon’s personal style center stage.  I would highly suggest you go check out his Etsy Store and see what other geeky / nerdy poster prints you could find for your wall.

Tishaia

  • I found Tishaia on Etsy and was absolutely floored by her impressive pendant creations.  At the time, I saw that she was trying to sell a Renegade pendent and I asked her if it would be possible to donate that to the marathon.  Instead of doing that however, Tishaia made two custom Paragon necklaces (it’s for the children after all) and inscribed them to further personalize it.  She has been a joy to work with, someone who donated so much of her time and energy to this project.  We sincerely hope that you’ll try and win the pendents she made for this marathon, and also visit her Etsy Store and ask her about possibly doing a commission for yourself.  It will be well worth the effort!

Wispy Chipmunk

  • Our staff members really like magnets.  We know, it’s kind of a weird thing to be into, but man do we have a lot of fun with it.  So when we saw the set of Mass Effect magnets that Lacie over at Wispy Chipmunk was making, we were really hoping that she would agree to help us out with the event.  Much to our delight, she said yes.  Now we are able to give out three sets of Mass Effect magnets that have a ton of different universe specific icons on them for your enjoyment.  If you like magnets, and also like things like Mass Effect, Bioshock, Portal, and Minecraft (just to name a few), you may find the Etsy Store to your liking as well!

Hello Skywalker by Tristan Peddle

  • In addition to our love of magnets, we also happen to love collages.  Imagine our surprise when we found an N7 wall plague that was made out of wood, that incorporated a bunch of Mass Effect artwork into a collage.  Obviously we just had to beg Tristan of Hello Skywalker to help us out and donate one to the event.  The good news for our donors, is that he accepted and now you have a chance to win it!

Cosplay Scramble

  • What a great concept.  Cosplay Scramble creates magnets of some of your favorite characters, redone to fit a more chibi look.  Then, they make the magnets in such a way that you can mix and match the heads and bodies in whatever combination you want!  Mary Jenkins was kind enough to donate a few sets of Garrus, Wrex, Liara and Tali and we really can’t wait for you to see them live on the stream.  There are a ton of other great characters from many different genres on the Cosplay Scramble Etsy Store, so be sure to go out and purchase a few for your fridge!

Nick-Knacks

  • Keychains.  Bottle Caps.  Mass Effect.  All pretty cool things on their own merit.  Yet when you combine all of them into Mass Effect Bottle Cap Keychains?  Well that’s just amazing!  Lucky for you that Nick of Nick-Knacks makes just that kind of item.  So go on, either donate to the cause and try to win them, or click on the link above and buy some!  Either way, you’ll feel better about yourself!

Impressions Customized Gifts

  • Thomas over at Impressions Customized Gifts got our attention with his Mass Effect themed dog tags.  He even liked what we were doing with the marathon and decided to donate a full set of five different dog tags for our viewers to potentially win.  This all sounds like a good deal to us.  If you are in the market for a unique necklace, and love geeky games, then perhaps you should go check out the Etsy Store and find something to fit your style.  Don’t forget to all check out the Etsy Store for Thomas’s daughter who also makes some killer necklaces.

Rameez “Ramz” Quadri

  • I remember seeing Ramz designs at some point last year when I was linked to it by another Mass Effect fan.  The coloring was really fantastic, and the style in which he invoked the Normandy vs the Reapers as if it was a game of Space Invaders was really humorous.  I was really happy when Ramz agreed to be on board for this marathon and donate a few of his prints to the cause.  If there is any blank space on your wall, do yourself a favor and click on the above link and order yourself a really great piece of Mass Effect art.  You won’t regret it.

Hollie Bonde

  • Teddy Bears have been an adorable tradition in our society for a very long time.  Now, thanks to the wonderful efforts of Hollie Bonde, we can make a regular old Teddy Bear into the spitting image of Commander Shepard.  Well, almost.  We will be raffling off one of these N7 Teddy Bears during the marathon, but if you would like to have Hollie create your very own bear, then please bid in the silent auction!  Hollie will work with you on how you want the bear and the armor to look and there are even rumors that she’ll make a helmet for the winning bear.  It’s a really unique prize so please bid early and often!

Anabel Martinez

  • During last year’s fan art competition, we became familiar with the work of Anabel Martinez. Her Kaidan fan art even took second place overall in the competition! This year, Anabel has made a few new art prints and she has been gracious enough to offer them up as raffle prizes.  Be sure to check out her Official Website, DeviantArt or Facebook to take a look at her other work. We’re pretty confident that you’ll just fall in love with Anabel’s artwork like we have.

Johnson Arms

  • Do you like NERF Guns?  Of course you do, everyone does.  Do you like Mass Effect?  I sure hope you do, you are on a website dedicated to playing it non-stop.  Those two topics made for a beautiful combination when Brian of Johnson Arms made us a super awesome N7 Nerf Stampede Assault Rifle.  This year Brian is going to make something else for us that you are sure to enjoy.  He also make tons of other NERF related weapons, so if you have an idea in your head, bring it to Johnson Arms and he can make it a reality.

Grubber Gamer

  • As gamers, one of the hardest things to juggle is trying to purchase so many new games as they come out.  We’re all on budgets and it can be daunting to try and just by everything.  Well, the fine people at Grubber Gamer are helping out the process with their fantastic website.  Basically just go to their site, search for a game, and Grubber Gamer will find the best current deal and price that is out there on the Internet.  Even if it’s an older game, the site will still find you the best price!  It’s a really fantastic resource and we strongly urge you to go check them out and utilize it!

Rebel666

  • Laura from Rebel666 e-mailed in and asked if she could help us out by contributing an amazing set of handmade armwarmers, scarfs and beanies.  Suffice to say, we couldn’t say YES fast enough.  Her work is top notch and in addition to all of the cool craft she sells on her Etsy Store, she also has done some fantastic Commander Shepard cosplay which you can check out on her DeviantArt or Facebook pages.  We strongly suggest you go check her out, especially if you want to stay warm this winter!

The Bead Sprites of RebornFlames

  • RebornFlames wanted to pick up a hobby.  So he decided to take up the art of doing Bead Sprites.  As you can tell above, the man has a gift!  We will be raffling off these amazing pieces of art throughout the marathon, with both Mass Effect themed and others being a part of the fun! To see more of Reborn’s amazing work, check out his DeviantArt Page.

Mark Wengryn Original Jewelry & Inspired Creations

  • We search high and low for great Mass Effect themed items that could act as prizes when we start work on the marathon.  If something makes us stop and go Whoa in a Keanu Reeves kind of voice, then we know we are on to something.  Mark’s work definitely fits that bill.  His amazing Mass Relay Pendant, Morality Necklaces, and Cerberus pins were of amazing craftsmanship that we begged for him to help us out.  Thankfully for us, and for you, he agreed and has done fantastic work that you can only get by donating to Mass Effect Marathon.  If you don’t win anything though, please go visit his story and get a commission setup by him!
